Roles & Responsibilities

  • Analyzing, forecasting, and planning workforce supply and demand.
  • Works to schedule vehicle departures and arrivals, assign drivers, manage mileage, and fuel consumption and provide overall management of transportation projects
  • Prepares, reviews, and coordinates the documentation, personal property and special accommodations required for transportation of all unaccompanied children.
  • Ensures all paperwork is provided according to policy for all reunifications or transfers to shelter.
  • Conducts inventory, prepares, and provides all essentials equipment and meals for daily work orders.
  • Prepares transportation reports, equipment, supplies, and meal reports as well as Ad Hoc reports.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience as Logistics Coordinator
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Empathetic and compassionate individual with the ability to maintain confidentiality  
  • Availability to support flexible schedules, including 12-hour shifts
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • HSPD-12 PIV Credential Tier 1
  • National Agency Check and Inquiries—NACI Clearance   
  • Ability to pass a drug test; may be subject to random drug testing throughout employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), or related organizations.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
