Overview

Culmen International, LLC is hiring a Juinor Operations Research Analyst to support the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Force Readiness at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and administrative support at the senior level (SES/GS-15/O-6) for the assessment and analysis of the full range of readiness within the Department of Defense
  • Investigate, develop, and analyze complex readiness problems and provide advice and insight about the probable effects of alternative solutions to these problems.  These duties require the ability to structure and execute studies which analyze broad, complex, policy, strategy, program, or procedural issues utilizing quantifiable criteria with a view toward quantifying the implications to the department readiness in general
  • Perform highly advanced analysis on tasks requiring specialized knowledge or skills for a variety of applications and/or tools 
  • Apply advanced analysis practices, concepts, and procedures.  The candidate will plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation and/or modification of methodologies and tools 

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with analytics
  • Knowledge of the measurement and reporting of military readiness, data analytics skills including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint,  and other data analysis and visualization programs
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Experience conducting operations research on military readiness or related subject matter, experience working in the Office of the Secretary of Defense or with the military
