Overview

Culmen International is hiring several Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Instructors to provide support for The Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), Office of Antiterrorism Assistance (ATA) Global Antiterrorism Training Assistance (GATA) courses known as Explosive Incident Countermeasures (EIC). 

 

These positions are in preparation for future need of instructors for the GATA program and will be short term OCONUS assignments.  We are hiring both Staff and Lead Instructors.  Below are requirements for both levels.

Roles & Responsibilities

Construct and direct Instructors in the construction of improvised explosive device training aids for use during x-ray, disruptor, demolition, and hand-entry exercises. The use of up to 240 training aids per class may be required.

 

 

Basic Qualifications

Requirements for Lead Instructors:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Master EOD Technician

or

  • 10+ years of experience as a Law Enforcement Bomb Technician with five (5) years as a Bomb Squad Commander.
  • Successfully completed training in advanced terrorist improvised explosive device (IED) fuzing and firing systems.
  • Successfully completed advanced training in render safe/disruption of vehicle borne IEDs and terrorist application of electronics.
  • Graduate of Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal or FBI Hazardous Devices School.
  • Graduate Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) or local Post Blast Investigation course.
  • Taught eight (8) EIC courses.
  • Prior experience as an AEIC Lead Instructor must have been an EIC Lead Instructor and taught as staff for two AEIC deliveries.

 

Requirements for Staff Instructors:

 

  • 10+ years of experience as a Master EOD Technician

OR

  • 10+ years of experience as a Law Enforcement Bomb Technician.
  • Successfully completed training in advanced terrorist improvised explosive device (IED) fuzing and firing systems.
  • Successfully completed advanced training in render safe/disruption of vehicle-borne IEDs and terrorist application of electronics.
  • Completed a tactical emergency medical response training such as Tactical Emergency Medical Support (TEMS), Tactical First Aid, First Responder Operational (FRO), Tactical Life Saver Technician, TCC, or equivalent.
  • Graduate of Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal or FBI Hazardous Devices School.
  • Graduate Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) or local Post Blast Investigation course.
