Culmen International is seeking Lead Clinicians and Clinicians to support an upcoming Health and Human Services Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) mission. These positions may require working extended hours, weekends, holidays, and being on-call.

Roles & Responsibilities

Clinician:

  • Conduct intake, admission, and diagnostic assessments with documented results.
  • Provide clinical services within funding source guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Case Management department to ensure proper communication and documentation.
  • Provide a minimum of one weekly one-to-one counseling session.
  • Facilitate weekly psycho-educational and therapeutic client groups.
  • Continually monitor the mental well-being of clients and arrange for appropriate services as needed, including external specialized services with community providers.
  • Attend all required trainings and meetings to ensure that up-to-date information is received.
  • Must assist in the evacuation of youth as needed due to inclement weather conditions, natural disasters, or other unforeseen occurrences.
  • Travel as needed for trainings, conferences or youth transportation within the U.S.
  • Ensure the proper supervision of youth at all times.
  • Work independently, react to change productively, and handle other essential tasks as assigned while exercising a high level of confidentiality.

 

Lead Clinician:

  • Assign intakes upon arrival to the clinical team. 

  • Coordinate clinical services by providing oversight, supervision, and training of Clinicians. 

  • Monitor clinical documentation to ensure accurate and timely submission.  

  • Conduct intake, admission, and diagnostic assessments with clients. 

  • Facilitate transfers and reunifications. 

  • Develop and maintain ongoing partnerships with community-based providers to ensure the needs of the youth are being met. 

  • Collaborate with treatment team members and clients to develop treatment plans. 

  • Provide weekly one-to-one counseling and crisis intervention as needed. 

  • Facilitate psycho-educational and therapeutic client groups. 

  • Continually monitor the mental well-being of clients, provide consultation, and arrange for appropriate services as needed. 

 

 

 

Basic Qualifications

Clinician:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, Sociology or relevant Behavioral Science OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years clinical employment experience
  • Must be licensed or eligible for license.
  • At least (1) one year experience in working with youth in inpatient, residential, or detention facilities, or those with high-risk backgrounds.
  • Ability to utilize evidence-based theory to conceptualize clinical cases to formulate treatment plans and related techniques and interventions.
  • Successful completion of 86 hours of pre-service training and job shadowing.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Possess a cleared Tuberculosis test.
  • Ability to successfully clear a background check.
  • Ability to successfully clear a drug screening.
  • Provide immunization documentation for Tdap, Varicella, MMR, Hepatitis A and B, Varicella.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.

Lead Clinician:

  • Master’s degree in social work with 2 years post graduate direct service delivery experience OR
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Psychology, Sociology, or relevant Behavioral Science with 2 years post graduate direct service delivery experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science with 5 years clinical employment experience in Behavioral Science AND
  • Must be licensed to provide Clinical services in the state where the care provider is located. 
  • One year of supervisory experience. 
  • Experience in working with youth in inpatient, residential, or detention facilities, or those with high-risk backgrounds. 
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire. 
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) 
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License. 
  • Possess a clear Tuberculosis test. 
  • Ability to successfully clear a background check. 
  • Ability to successfully clear a drug screening.
