Culmen International is currently looking to hire a Finance and Business Support Associate to assist the United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) in Washington, D.C., with telework opportunities.

 

The Associate will be tasked with providing a broad spectrum of advisory and analytical services to the COO and OCOO staff, focusing on key operational areas such as managing DFC's investment pipeline, enhancing investment operations, and coordinating business development throughout DFC, including its expanding international presence.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support DFC’s investment pipeline management, ensuring timely execution of strategic projects.
  • Collaborate on operational strategies and process improvements for better investment outcomes.
  • Handle special projects, including engagement in meetings, communication efforts, and strategic transactions.
  • Perform related duties and maintain timely responses.

Onboarding and Training Development:

  • Create a comprehensive onboarding program for DFC personnel in overseas offices.
  • Implement a training curriculum covering cultural sensitivity, local business practices, and DFC-specific protocols.
  • Customize training materials for diverse roles within overseas offices.

Administrative and Operational Management:

  • Draft official communications (cables, congressional notifications) related to overseas office openings.
  • Monitor office progress, security clearances, and personnel onboarding.
  • Provide problem-solving support for administrative and operational issues.
  • Coordinate interviews and craft position descriptions for new roles.

Webpage Design and Content Creation:

  • Design an informative webpage for business development coordination.
  • Populate it with essential resources (templates, FAQs, sector-specific guidance).
  • Regularly update and maintain the webpage content.

General Support Services:

  • Take meeting notes and compile concise minutes.
  • Generate reports and presentations for internal and external purposes.
  • Collect and analyze data relevant to overseas office effectiveness and business development.

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. 
  • Three (3) years of experience in a related finance or consulting field, which may include impact investing, development finance, emerging market finance, investment or business advisory services, or management consulting.
  • Specialized experience should include data analysis with strong Excel skills, market research, and communications.
  • U.S. citizens and capable of obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust clearance.
