Culmen is currently seeking a Senior Nonproliferation Specialist to support our contract with the National Nuclear Security Administration.
The individual will utilize their expertise in nonproliferation and export controls, relevant to government agencies, industry, research institutes, and academia, to develop curricula that include presentations, instructor guides, materials, handouts, and eLearning modules.
They will plan and conduct events both virtually and in-person, support training as an instructor and project manager, and develop concepts for event agendas and training materials. This person will coordinate events with key officials, international organizations, and NGOs, and will be responsible for writing engagement plans, reports, concept papers, and other required documents.
Additionally, they will collaborate with industry and other U.S. government officials to organize projects and plan joint events. As the project manager for the International Nonproliferation Export Control Program (INECP) projects in the EU, Norway, Switzerland, and UK, the World Customs Organization, and other countries or organizations as requested by INECP, they will frequently travel to partner countries and organizations.
Participation in INECP working groups, conferences, workshops, seminars, webinars, and other training events as requested by INECP is also a part of their role. They will contribute insights on enhancing nonproliferation programs by leveraging INECP, focusing on the intersections of export controls and nonproliferation.
The individual will act as the technical lead for INECP projects in Europe and the World Customs Organization, support nonproliferation training, project proposals or studies, and programmatic engagements. They will assist in the development of materials, outreach coordination, and quality assurance, as well as support technical cooperation, capacity-building, consultations, and exchanges. They will also aid divisional principal investigators and other Argonne team members with a broad spectrum of project management, event planning, and implementation concepts.
