About the Role

Culmen International is seeking a Life Services Director for a future Health and Human Services opportunity.

 

The Life Services Director assists in developing and monitoring recreation activities and schedules, develops Life Skills lessons, and coordinates activities with the Physical Education department.

What You’ll Do in Your New Role

  • Lead and oversee the personnel for both recreation and vocational departments.
  • Produce, coordinate, and execute recreational programs and activities following safety protocols for minors.
  • Develop processes to maintain inventory of materials utilized for vocational and recreational activities.
  • Assist program management in building relationships with the community.
  • Research, plan, and implement programmed recreational, vocational, and physical activities for minors.
  • Coordinate a youth council which allows for minors to provide feedback on services received.
  • Oversee all financial operations regarding RAC/VOC departments.
  • Provide oversight to the program’s recreation, leisure, and vocational schedules to include assessment, development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Work independently, react to change productively, and handle other essential tasks as assigned while exercising a high level of confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
  • Minimum of (2) two years experience working with youth, preferably in an ORR setting.
  • Minimum of (2) two years experience working as an educator or relevant role.
  • Minimum of (1) one year supervisory experience.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) preferred.
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Possess a clear Tuberculosis test.
  • Ability to successfully clear a background check.
  • Ability to successfully clear a drug screening.
  • Provide immunization documentation for Tdap, Varicella, MMR, Hepatitis A and B, Varicella.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
