The Life Services Director assists in developing and monitoring recreation activities and schedules, develops Life Skills lessons, and coordinates activities with the Physical Education department.

Roles & Responsibilities

· Lead and oversee the personnel for both recreation and vocational departments.

· Produce, coordinate, and execute recreational programs and activities following safety protocols for minors.

· Develop processes to maintain inventory of materials utilized for vocational and recreational activities.

· Assist program management in building relationships with the community.

· Research, plan, and implement programmed recreational, vocational, and physical activities for minors.

· Coordinate a youth council which allows for minors to provide feedback on services received.

· Oversee all financial operations regarding RAC/VOC departments.

· Provide oversight to the program’s recreation, leisure, and vocational schedules to include assessment, development and implementation of policies and procedures.

· Work independently, react to change productively, and handle other essential tasks as assigned while exercising a high level of confidentiality.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.

· Minimum of (2) two years experience working with youth, preferably in an ORR setting.

· Minimum of (2) two years experience working as an educator or relevant role.

· Minimum of (1) one year supervisory experience.

· Must be computer literate.

· Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.

· Proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) preferred.

· Possess a valid Driver’s License.

· Possess a clear Tuberculosis test.

· Ability to successfully clear a background check.

· Ability to successfully clear a drug screening.

· Provide immunization documentation for Tdap, Varicella, MMR, Hepatitis A and B, Varicella.

· Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
