About the Role

Culmen International is seeking a Supervisor for RAC/VOC for a future Health and Human Services opportunity.

 

The Supervisor for RAC/VOC identifies and plans activities, compiles feedback to identify areas for improvement, and modifies activities based on the population.

What You’ll Do in Your New Role

  • Develop vocational and recreational courses, along with their respective policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the coordination of vocational, recreational, and educational outings and activities.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with the local community to be able to provide external vocational and recreational services to the youth in care.
  • Ensure supplies are always readily available for all vocational and recreational activities while maintaining a healthy budget.
  • Oversee the coordination of Physical Education instruction and other large muscle activities.
  • Work closely with the education department and assist with the planning and coordination of special educational events.
  • Supervise a team of Vocational and Recreational Coordinators.
  • Must assist in the evacuation of youth as needed due to inclement weather conditions, natural disasters, or other unforeseen occurrences.
  • Travel as needed for youth transportation within the U.S.
  • Work independently, react to change productively, and handle other essential tasks as assigned while exercising a high level of confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of (1) one year experience working with youth, preferably in an ORR setting.
  • Minimum of (1) one year supervisory experience.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) preferred.
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Possess a clear Tuberculosis test.
  • Ability to successfully clear a background check.
  • Ability to successfully clear a drug screening.
  • Provide immunization documentation for Tdap, Varicella, MMR, Hepatitis A and B, Varicella.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
