About the Role

Culmen International is seeking a Travel Coordinator for a future Health and Human Services opportunity!

 

This position is for a future opportunity and may not be immediately available.

What You’ll Do in Your New Role

It is crucial to work closely with our travel team to ensure that our staff's travel needs are met in the best way possible. This involves coordinating to find the most efficient and cost-effective routes for their journeys. We also need to handle any issues that may arise with travel vendors and companies. It's important to ensure that all personnel are on the same mode of transportation and have their flights/seating arranged properly. We also need to communicate transport requirements to the Travel Youth Care Worker (TYCW) and the related team, especially when managing Unaccompanied Children (UCs) with special needs. Additionally, we have to stay informed about potential travel delays or issues that could affect our staff and communicate this information promptly. It's also essential to manage travel costs and reimbursements accurately. Throughout all of this, we should maintain open communication and stay attuned to the needs of our staff.

 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher preferred in business administration, social services, or closely related field that is applicable to the position; or, High School Diploma with relevant work experience in travel coordination and booking travel.
  • Possess a current and valid U.S. state/territory vehicle operator’s license
  • Fluent in English and Spanish language (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Experience managing or coordinating a travel and travel logistics team for children living in a residential facility.
  • Must have attention to detail in reviewing travel manifests and ensuring the correct travelers are accounted for during scheduled trips  
  • Ability to support an assigned shift.
  • Analyze and plan efficient transportation routes via various transportation modes of transportation across multiple states
  • Work and interface with travel team members and on-site leadership team
  • Engage and interface with various travel vendors which includes commercial and private airline companies, charter flight companies, charter bus companies and rental car companies to determine most efficient and cost-effective mode of travel
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • HSPD-12 PIV Credential Tier 1
  • National Agency Check and Inquiries—NACI Clearance   

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with ORR, either directly or within a contractual requirement, in a management capacity
  • Familiarity with the resettlement process and ORR policies
  • Bi-lingual English and Spanish
  • Experience working with children
