Culmen International is hiring an Radiation Portal Monitor Program (RPMP) System Engineering and Integration Lead (SE&IL) to provide equipment and network installation support for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Remote / Hybrid Position (40% Travel).

The RPMP SE&IL will provide technical expertise to the DHS Office of Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction’s (CWMDO) Radiation Portal Monitor Program, including support for surveys of prospective sites, sites under reconstruction, support for equipment commissioning, and basic operator training.

What You’ll Do in Your New Role

  • Lead joint team in supporting design solutions (Drawings and Specifications)
  • Develop and manage requirements with onsite compliance inspections, review design submittals and transfers to construction team/contractors, updates of master equipment list (MEL), and coordination with engineering team
  • Direct and participate in all phases of system integration development with emphasis on planning, analysis, evaluation, integration, testing and acceptance phases
  • Perform technical quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected. Support multiple teams and ongoing projects simultaneously
  • Work closely with the management team of our Prime contractor, attending meetings and resolving issues and adjusting technical resources as necessary
  • Work with Culmen RPMP Dep. Program Manager and Technical Manager to identify resources across multi-disciplinary, multi-functional areas
  • Work with Team to supervise and mentor staff and serve as a point of contact, guidance for technical teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Develop and review related technical contract deliverables, weekly program actions/events tracking and reporting
  • Conduct travel (40%) on behalf of the program to various locations in the U.S., including site surveys and equipment acceptance testing visits as well as possible vendor visits
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Eligible for DHS Suitability Determination
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Engineering, or a related technology field

OR

  • 8-10 Years of experience equivalent in lieu of degree
  • 8-10 years of experience managing, leading and/or coordinating cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams such as teams of electrical engineers, equipment acceptance testing specialists, procurement, and logistics specialists
  • Familiarity with system integration of gate arms, traffic lights, cameras and related testing
  • Experience with devices such as relays, meters and managed ethernet switches
  • Some experience with screening equipment such as contraband cargo/pedestrian screening or radiation portal monitors
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, fast learner, detail oriented, strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and respond to quick turn-around requests

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and/or some programming code languages
  • Experience working with U.S. Federal government customers preferred
  • Experience working with U.S. Customs and Border Protection preferred

The determination of compensation at Culmen International, LLC is based on various factors such as location, the individual's unique combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, clearance level, experience, internal equity, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $135,200 – $169,000 annually. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Culmen's total compensation package for employees.
