Cell & Systems Biology Staff Scientist

Culmen International is looking for a Cell and Systems Biology Staff Scientist to support a USAMRIID program at Fort Detrick, MD.

The Cell & Systems Biology Staff Scientist, who focuses on understanding the cellular mechanisms involved in host-pathogen interactions and supports integrated multiomics research in high-containment environments.

• Conduct in vitro and in vivo experiments to characterize cellular response.
• Work closely with proteomics and transcriptomics teams.
• Support data integration for systems biology models.
• Prepare SOPs and regulatory-compliant reports.
• Train junior personnel in lab methods.

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field.
• 4+ years in biomedical, cellular, or systems biology research.
• Experience in cell culture and imaging techniques.
• Knowledge of immunological signaling pathways.
• Familiarity with tissue sample processing.
• Strong analytical and collaboration skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and enroll in the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), if required.

• Master’s degree preferred.
