PCR Core Laboratory Technical Manager

Culmen International is looking for a PCR Core Lab Technical Manager to support a USAMRIID program at Fort Detrick, MD.

The PCR Core Lab Technical Manager leads PCR and qPCR-based research, ensuring quality, throughput, and regulatory compliance in molecular diagnostic workflows.

• Supervise PCR workflow execution and staff training.
• Maintain assay performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Ensure quality assurance and documentation of protocols.
• Coordinate with internal research teams for sample testing.
• Manage supplies, biospecimens, and instrumentation maintenance.

• Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology or biotechnology.
• 5+ years in PCR-based lab environments, with leadership experience preferred.
• Advanced PCR/qPCR knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with automated nucleic acid extraction systems.
• Experience in high-throughput diagnostics.
• Leadership and team coordination abilities.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and enroll in the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), if required.
