About the Role

Culmen International is seeking Mechanics.

 

This position supports a logistics-focused project by ensuring the operational reliability and safety of vehicles and equipment through regular maintenance and timely repairs. The mechanic plays a vital role in minimizing downtime, enhancing fleet performance, and supporting continuous field operations in demanding and fast-paced environments.

 

This position is a temporary duty assignment (TDY) based in a Middle Eastern country, with the specific location to be disclosed during the recruitment process.

 

Preference will be given to applicants who are nationals of Georgia.

What You’ll Do in Your New Role

  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of vehicles and equipment, including heavy goods vehicles (HGVs).

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, and service schedules.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.

  • Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure all work is performed by health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to drivers and equipment operators regarding proper use and care.
  • Assist in developing maintenance schedules and protocols.
  • Respond to emergency repair requests in the field when necessary.

     

Required Qualifications

  • Certified mechanic or vocational training in automotive or diesel technology preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, preferably with HGVs or similar equipment.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with maintenance tools, diagnostic software, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and repair instructions.
  • Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and work in various environments and conditions.
  • Basic communication skills in English (preferred).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to urgent maintenance needs.
