About the Role

Culmen International is seeking Drivers (Heavy Goods Vehicle).

 

This position supports a logistics-driven project through the operation of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to transport materials and equipment safely and efficiently. The role is essential for ensuring consistent supply flow, maintaining operational readiness, and supporting logistical activities across various locations in dynamic and challenging environments.

 

This position is a temporary duty assignment (TDY) based in a Middle Eastern country, with the specific location to be disclosed during the recruitment process.

 

Preference will be given to applicants who are nationals of Georgia.

What You’ll Do in Your New Role

  • Operate heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) safely and efficiently to transport materials, equipment, or goods to designated locations.
  • Ensure all transportation activities comply with local traffic laws, organizational policies, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or required maintenance promptly.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and fuel usage reports as per company guidelines.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring proper handling and secure placement of items.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Respond to changing route conditions, delivery schedules, and operational requirements as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized vehicle, both internally and externally.
  • Report accidents, delays, or unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately.
  • Support broader operational tasks when not driving, including assisting with inventory or field logistics if required.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid and current driver’s license.
  • 5+ years of professional driving experience with heavy vehicles.
  • Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
  • Proven ability to operate large vehicles safely in various traffic and weather conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read maps, follow GPS directions, and adapt to route changes.
  • Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy loads as required.
  • Strong time management skills and reliability under pressure.
  • Basic communication skills in English (preferred).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings, if operational needs require.
  • Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts Monday-Friday.
