About the Role

Culmen is seeking for a Manager Mid Level Analyst / Program Manager.

This position will support the environmental and social assessment and monitoring of DFC PD support to projects. The contractor will assess environmental and social needs for proposed or active PD supported projects and review environmental and social terms of reference, deliverables, and implementation evidence. The contractor will coordinate across the PD and Environmental and Social Divisions to ensure consistency of the assessment of environmental and social performance of DFC projects.

 

 

What You’ll Do in Your New Role

  • Review and assess E&S documents such as Impact Assessments, Resettlement Action Plans, and Biodiversity Action Plans.
  • Evaluate compliance with DFC’s Environmental and Social Policy and Procedures (ESPP), IFC Performance Standards, and other international and local regulations.
  • Coordinate with PD and Environmental and Social Divisions to ensure consistency in assessments.
  • Prepare 10–15 page summary memos with clear justifications and recommendations.
  • Provide feedback and improvement suggestions for non-compliant submissions.
  • Ensure timely delivery of assessments within 10 business days of receipt.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience and a MS/MS degree OR 6 years of experience and a BA/BS degree (e.g., environmental science, social science, international development).
  • Experience reviewing E&S documents for compliance with IFC Performance Standards and EHS Guidelines.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with international development finance institutions.
  • Familiarity with host country environmental and social laws and international conventions.
  • Project management experience and ability to lead cross-functional coordination.
