About the Role

We are currently seeking a Finance Manager with experience of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) or other financial enforcement oversight, to work onsite in Central London.  

  

This position is full-time and in person.  Considerations will be given to alternative flexible working arrangements (such as compressed hours) for the right candidate. 

What You’ll Do in Your New Role

As a Finance Manager you will be required to: 

  • Deliver and oversee accurate and timely financial reports, including the compilation of individual offline account reconciliations into group financial accounts. 

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to deliver effectively against directed lines of effort and business objectives, taking an active lead in financial planning and delivery. 

  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, controls and regulatory requirements in accordance with financial management frameworks as well as wider national and international legislation. 

  • Support engagements between public and private sector organisations through development and maintenance of strong collaborative relationships. 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing insight and challenge to support strategic decision making. 
  • Comply with governance and staff requirements through the generation of the operational record keeping and staff work. 

Required Qualifications

  • Current UK Security Clearance or above. 
  • Experience working in UK public sector finance roles. 
  • Experience in financial risk management. 
  • Experience in writing formal policy, procedure documentation and submissions.
  • Part or fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CGMA/CIPFA or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of government or not-for profit accounting concepts and processes including; reconciliation, rebilling and traditional budgeting and forecasting for end of month and end of year requirements.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financiers.
  • Strong IT skills, including word-processing, PowerPoint and Excel with familiarity of planning, budgeting and forecasting systems such as Oracle.
  • Ability to prioritise and reprioritise against complex and competing work-strands against strict deadlines under pressure.
  • Ability and experience of working with a range of stakeholders at senior levels within Government and Private Sector.
