Culmen International is seeking a Public Relations Specialist based in Sigonella, Italy. This role is a regular, full-time position supporting NAMRU EURAFCENT. The work is 100% on-site.

 

Position Type: Regular Full-Time | Funding: This position is funded through March 28, 2029.

 

We are considering both US Citizens and Italian Local Nationals/Residents for this vacancy. Please note that compensation and benefit packages will be determined by the residency and citizenship status of the selected candidate.

Candidate Eligibility & Requirements

For US Citizens:

  • Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance or Public Trust/NACI (Post-Hire).

  • Legal: Must be eligible for SOFA accreditation.

  • Compensation: Paid in USD.

  • Benefits: Eligible for US-based benefits, including health insurance, 401K, and standard W2 vacation/US holiday schedules.

For Italian Local Nationals / Residents:

  • Background Check: Must be able to provide a Certificato del Casellario Giudiziale (Criminal Record) and a Certificato dei Carichi Pendenti (Pending Charges).

  • Compensation: Paid in EURO.

  • Benefits: Benefits align with the Standard Italian National Contract.

What You’ll Do in Your New Role

You will utilize your creative skills to provide media delivery and strategic communication support, specifically including:

  • Social Media Management: Support platforms like Facebook, X (Twitter), and Instagram by creating infographics and multimedia presentations (pending Government approval).

  • Strategic Recommendations: Advise the Government on improving the effectiveness of internal and external relations programs.

  • Publication Support: Assist with document formatting and design for official publications.

  • Digital Optimization: Perform daily updates to websites, improve SEO, and analyze web traffic/engagement analytics.

  • Design & Content: Capture public sentiment and assist with graphic design tasks as required by program leads.

Required Qualifications

  • Language: Fluency in English is required.

To be considered for this role, you must meet one of the following education and experience tiers:

  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • Option 2: Associate degree in a related field and 4 years of recent specialized experience.

  • Option 3: A major certification and 6 years of recent specialized experience.

  • Option 4: A high school diploma and 8 years of recent specialized experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years in a multimedia and graphic design environment.

  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery; proficiency with SharePoint.

  • Software: Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator), Apple Final Cut, or similar video editing tools.

  • Education Preference: Bachelor’s degree in media design or digital media (2 years of DoD experience may substitute for the degree).
