About the Role

Culmen International is seeking an Executive Administrative Assistant to support our client onsite in Bahrain.

 

Candidates should be located in Bahrain.

What You’ll Do in Your New Role

Provides direct executive-level support to the Office of the Commander.   Performs a broad range of administrative and office automation functions, including composing and formatting correspondence; assembling information for reports, briefs, and presentations; and maintaining electronic records for efficient retrieval. Develops and maintains databases for program tracking and ensures appropriate data backups. Briefs and participates in meetings to communicate new or revised administrative policies, regulations, and procedures. Coordinates and supports personnel in meeting personnel management system requirements, including annual goal updates and performance reviews. Interprets Department of Defense policy and guidance to support effective communication, collaboration, and risk mitigation for senior defense leadership. Independently plans and executes assignments; produces documents, reports, spreadsheets, and briefs using standard office software. Oversees technical planning and administrative management in support of initiatives. Serves as a primary point of contact for visitors and calls, exercises diplomacy and tact with internal and external stakeholders, and manages visit and parking requests for engagements at other installations.

 

 

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in administrative roles. Prior YN/PS with background as an Executive Assistance is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, problem identification/resolution skills, flexibility, initiative, and a proven ability to work with Senior Officers efficiently and effectively (to include experience interfacing/communicating with Senior Executive leadership in both
    Government and Industry).
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a team member under tight deadlines with changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of the organization of office files and the purpose and content of documents in the files.
  • Knowledge of the clerical steps in processing files and retrieving information in files to prepare reports and maintain suspense records.
  • Ability to prioritize time and efforts across multiple activities to meet Government requirements.
  • Experience writing white papers, briefings, correspondence, and reports.
    Excellent computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) databases and including Defense Travel System (DTS), Salesforce, BOL programs to include eNAVFIT, Navy Personnel Command Document Services, Navy Department Awards
    Web Service (NDAWS).
  • Excellent organizational and teambuilding skills, good interpersonal skills.
    Knowledge of English grammar and usage, format, and procedural requirements.
  • Skills in writing and oral communication to write/type letters, memoranda, and reports, and clearly explain complicated regulations, procedures, and concepts to persons outside the agency.
  • Demonstrated experience with Correspondence, Microsoft Suite, and Task Management Systems.
  • Active Secret clearance.
