About the Role

Culmen International seeks a dynamic Senior Event Manager to join our team in Lyon, France. This role is responsible for strategically leading and executing international meetings, conferences, and workshops across our global event program. The position encompasses comprehensive management of the entire event lifecycle, from initial venue sourcing through final execution and post-event analysis. Additionally, the Senior Event Manager will mentor event management team members while ensuring all events are delivered punctually, within budgetary constraints, and strictly adhering to established program protocols.

What You’ll Do in Your New Role

  • Strategically design and execute international meetings, conferences, and high-impact workshops across global markets.
  • Expertly lead end-to-end venue sourcing, supplier management, and strategic contract negotiation to optimize event outcomes.
  • Comprehensively orchestrate complex event logistics, seamlessly coordinating meeting spaces, accommodation, catering, transportation, and cutting-edge audiovisual services.
  • Demonstrate exceptional multitasking capabilities by simultaneously managing and synchronizing events across diverse geographical regions.
  • Oversee event timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate event records within the event management platform.
  • Drive precise financial management by meticulously supporting event budgeting, comprehensive financial tracking, and rigorous documentation.
  • Ensure events comply with operational procedures and client requirements.
  • Guide event managers and support complex or high-visibility events.

Required Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience planning conferences, workshops, or international events.
  • Demonstrated experience with venue sourcing and vendor management.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent events.
  • Experience supporting government, international organization, or multinational clients preferred.
  • Located in Lyon and authorized to work in France.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Languages

    • Fluent English and French required
