About the Role

Culmen is looking for a Pratt and Whitney Field Service Representative (FSR) to provide support in building our partner nation's readiness goals.

 

This position is based onsite at Moi Air Base in Nairobi, Kenya.

 

What You’ll Do in Your New Role

Partnership Focus

  • Provide technical assistance to strengthen supply procedures for Pratt & Whitney engine spares and repairs, including inventory management, provisioning, distribution, and materiel ordering.
  • Build KAF self-reliance through embedded mentorship, advisory support, and targeted training in Pratt & Whitney engine maintenance, troubleshooting, and logistics management.
  • Increase KAF organic capability to maintain and repair Pratt & Whitney engines through on-site technical guidance and hands-on training at designated Kenyan air bases.
  • Establish a resilient logistics network within the KAF to ensure timely access to spare parts, equipment, and resources required to sustain Pratt & Whitney engine support.
  • Develop and maintain a Pratt & Whitney technical resources library.
  • Define and implement procedures to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and complete scheduled and unscheduled repairs on Pratt & Whitney engines.

Management Control Activities

  • Conduct trend analysis.
  • Perform internal and external process audits.
  • Maintain required documentation and support artifacts for Pratt & Whitney engines.
  • Audit contractor certifications and authorizations within the Republic of Kenya.
  • Audit the publications and technical orders library.
  • Implement quality control programs.
  • Maintain maintenance logs.
  • Manage spare parts inventory.
  • Oversee life-cycle maintenance management for Pratt & Whitney engines.

Required Qualifications

  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification
  • 5+ years’ knowledge of Pratt and Whitney engines, concepts and applications of maintenance directives and data reporting, and using technical data.
  • 5+ years’ installing, inspecting, repairing or overhauling Pratt and Whitney systems, and components.
  • 2+ years’ experience developing and delivering maintenance or logistics training modules to foreign militaries.
  • Eligibility Requirement - US Citizen (This requirement is necessary to meet the security and eligibility requirements for the performance of this contract). 

  • Possess and maintain a US Passport.

  • Must have excellent written and oral communications skills.

  • Must be able to travel extensively both domestically and internationally unassisted.

  • Must have a US driver’s license/International Driver’s License or able to obtain a US driver’s license/International Driver’s license prior to arrival in country and be comfortable driving in US and partner nation (PN)(Kenya) countries.

     

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous working experience in Kenya.
