About the Role

Culmen is hiring an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) subject matter expert to support short term assignments including multiple OCONUS TDY’s. 

 

The projected level of effort is approximately 20-40 hours/month of baseline support, with that increasing to 80-100 hours during months in which there is an in-country engagement. Estimated 4 – 6 TDY’s over the next year. 

 

This is a 1099 position awaiting funding. 

What You’ll Do in Your New Role

The SME will support the team with training and developing training methodology, as well as helping to define the scope of deployability, readiness, and logistics of the system.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with ScanEagle UAS
  • Knowledge/experience with ISR unmanned and manned systems used by U.S. forces and partners
  • Knowledge/experience with operational doctrine development
  • Knowledge/experience with rapid re-deployment of unmanned systems
  • Knowledge and experience on current U.S. ISR unmanned and manned systems and ability to share data
  • Experience with local mesh networks used in maritime operating environments
  • Knowledge/experience on optimizing “Surveillance & Reconnaissance” from air and surface assets using lessons learned and best practices
  • Knowledge in development and facilitation of maritime tabletop exercise
